NotePub gives users an easier way to compile and manage notes. Users can save, share and search through notes and email messages. The application includes note taking features that allow the user to incorporate tags, links, images and files into their text notes. Later, users can search their past notes and emails for tags and keywords. Public and private settings are also available as well as group sharing. Private notes can be secured through encryption. Notes can also be backed up or edited while offline. NotePub also lets user receive emails from specified individuals and send attachments from mobile devices to the user’s NotePub account. Users can set up passwords and quickly toggle between public and private notes. What makes NotePub even easier is the drag and drop interface which allows users to take anything they find online, drag it and drop it into their NotePub notes.

Users can find contact information, explanations of features and terms of service agreement using the three navigational links across the bottom of the page. The center of the page includes the login area. The rest is open space and the notebook design that makes NotePub look so minimalistic and appealing.

How does the registration process work?

A visitor can register for NotePub by entering in their desired username in the box provided at the center of the homepage. After entering the name and clicking the white and black “Log in” button beside it, a grey box appears asking the user for a password. The user can also choose to remain logged in using the check box just above the password field. As soon as the user has submitted their password, they are given access to NotePub. The process takes seconds and the user is given access to all available features.

NotePub provides users with a helpful service, and does so for free. This is definitely a plus because the site doesn’t offer anything that would really justify a payment.
